Linda Lou Walker, 74, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, February 12, 2024 in Rockford, IL. She was born July 17, 1949, in Park Falls, WI, daughter to Walter Scharp and Eileen (Schluentz) Scharp. Linda married her sweetheart, the late Ronald Walker on September 17, 1966, in Rockford. She was employed at Nylant toy factory, McDonalds, Aubrey's in Union, IL and General Power in Harvard, IL as a factory worker. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran in Rockford and was a member of the Moose Club in Belvidere.  Linda volunteered with the Belvidere Grange and Boone County Fair in the "school house." Linda loved to collect lamps and go to antique auctions. She enjoyed gardening, baking Christmas cookies and riding her John Deere Gator. She especially enjoyed tailgating and traveling with her grandsons. She will be missed.

Linda is missed by her sons, Brent ( Lisa) and Glenn ( Tina) Walker; brothers and sisters, Fred (Annette) Scharp, Dennis Scharp, Darrel "Shorty" (Penni) Scharp, Diane (Charlie) Weiss, and Karen; grandchildren, Tyler and Jake ( Reed) Walker, Austin (Morgan) Cina, Ethan (Kaitlyn) Walker, Addison Walker; great-grandchild, Braeleigh and soon to be born great -grandson, Caesyn; special friends, Noah and Linda Mullins; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by Rich Scharp; parents, Walter and Eileen; and husband, Ron.

Linda's visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. The service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. Pastor Charles Waggoner will officiate. In Linda's honor, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
