November 25, 1942 – July 10, 2023
Linda Jean Meyers, 80, of Belvidere, IL went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1942 in Austin, Minnesota. The daughter of Annamae (Lind) and Clarence Jensen. Linda graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1960. She went on to continue her education at Rockford Business College. On October 19, 1963 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Meyers and together they shared 2 children and 59 years of marriage. They had an active lifestyle of traveling to Florida for the winters, and supporting their children and grandchildren at sporting events. Linda enjoyed gardening as well as golfing. She had a strong work ethic and worked for various legal firms in the area. A combined 55 years of service at William Freek and Rene Hernandez law offices. Linda was deeply devoted to her community, her family, and her faith. She was a member of the Junior Women's Club, the Bel-Mar CC, and numerous committees within Zion Lutheran Church. She will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Kenneth Meyers; their children, Jason (Chris Luckow) Meyers, Michael (Kathleen) Meyers; her sisters, Karen (Tom) Holt, Marilee (Jim) Sellers; grandchildren, Alissa (Michael) Fast, Abby (Ben) Vance, Samantha Meyers, Jon Meyers, Hannah Meyers, and Joe Meyers; great-grandchildren, Mason Fast and Maverick Fast; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family whom she loved dearly. She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, Annamae and Clarence Jensen; as well as her in-laws, Harold and Alma Meyers.
Linda's visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2023 between the hours of 4 and 7pm at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. A second visitation will be Monday, July 17 at 10am at Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral Service to follow at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 1300 Pearl St., Belvidere, IL 61008. Burial to follow at Highland Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in memory of Linda and her dedication to the many committees she participated in there.
