Linda L. Menge, 77, of Belvidere, IL, went to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, September 4, 2016. She was born September 27, 1938 in Rockford, IL, daughter of Lewis and Alice (Barber) Russell. She married the love of her life, Donald Menge on March 9, 1958 in Rockford, IL. Linda was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, where she formerly served on the Ladies Guild. She was a Republican Election Judge for many years. Linda was a homemaker who loved tending to her roses, and was an antique enthusiast. Linda had a passion for being a volunteer for F, where she logged more than 6,000 hours of service. She enjoyed reading her "Birds in Bloom" magazine, and watching for cardinals and blue jays in her yard. Linda is loved and will be missed by her husband, Donald; children Rick (Deb) Menge, Kathleen Callahan, and Karen (Steven) Bryan; grandchildren, Jacob and Jeremy Bryan, Timothy and Kyle Callahan, and Jonathan and Elana Menge; sisters, Diane Foster, and Judy (Gene) Ferling; as well as special neighbor and friend, Linda Castro. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kim Menge, and son-in-law, Chuck Callahan.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Road, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Allan Buss officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the church. Memorials may be made in Linda's name to Immanuel Lutheran School.
