Linda J. Barr, 62, of Belvidere, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 in University of Wisconsin Hospitals, Madison following a long illness. She was born August 28, 1948 in Fairmont, Minnesota; the daughter of Harold and Betta (Walker) Christensen. Linda married Ronald J. Barr in Belvidere, Illinois on June 25, 1970. She was employed fifteen years as a receptionist and switchboard operator for St. Joseph's Hospital, Belvidere. Linda was an aspiring artist having worked with various mediums. Her artistic skill allowed her to make various Halloween costumes. She was also an avid pet lover. Linda is survived by her husband, Ron of Belvidere; two daughters, Margo (Randy Keegan) Barr, Cherry Valley, Illinois; Ariel (Adam Lee) Barr, Belvidere; a son, Ronald J. (Christy) Barr, II, Danbury, Connecticut, her mother, Betta Christensen, two brothers, Larry (Donna) Christensen and Keith (Paula) Christensen, many nieces and nephews and her special friend, Connie Jakaboski. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Harold.
