IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lincoln "Linc"
Jeffrey Wolcott
January 20, 1959 – June 2, 2025
Lincoln "Linc" Jeffrey Wolcott, 66, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on June 2, 2025, following a short illness. Born on January 20, 1959, in Rockford, IL, he was the son of Phyllis Elaine (Kamlager) and Kay Wolcott.
Linc was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Known for his strong work ethic and a heart of gold, he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He never met a stranger and deeply valued his relationships with friends and family.
Always open and direct, Linc had a way of telling it like it was—you never had to guess where he stood. He lived life with honesty, humor, and a fierce loyalty to those he loved.
Linc grew up on the family farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature and a lifelong love of animals—wild or domestic. That connection to the land and its creatures remained a constant throughout his life.
Outside of work, Linc enjoyed woodworking and spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He found peace in nature and joy in crafting things with his hands. His sense of humor was ever-present, and his "impeccable" driving skills were a constant source of laughter among those who knew him best.
He earned his associate degree in agricultural mechanics, with an emphasis on heavy equipment maintenance. A true jack of all trades, Linc worked a variety of factory jobs in the area, including at General Electric, and Warner electric, and Powertrain. No matter the task, he brought a strong work ethic and a hands-on problem-solving spirit to everything he did. Linc was also affectionately known as the "King of Scrappers," earning his place as Belvidere's go-to scrap man.
Linc will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his warmth, quick wit, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Linc is survived by his children, Thomas (Krystal) Wolcott and Kaitlin Wolcott; wife of 20 years, Barbara Wolcott; grandchildren, Jadyn, Adisyn, Evan; great grandchildren, Thomas Ray, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom he loved dearly.
He is welcomed into heaven by his parents, his brother, Kevin Wolcott, and beloved dog Fred.
Linc's visitation will be Saturday, June 7th between the hours of 1-5pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral service to follow at 5pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
