Obituary

Lillian Hall, 87, of Caledonia, Illinois died early Friday morning, January 4, 2008 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a seven week illness. Lillian was born August 18, 1920 in Boone County, IL the daughter of Willie A. and Gladys E. (Seaver) Krupke. Lillian attended Center School and graduated from Hononegah High School and Northern Illinois University. She married Oscar Hall on August 1, 1942 at the Hunter United Methodist Church. Her career in teaching started at Northrup Country School. She continued teaching in the Belvidere School System and retired from the North Boone School System.Lillian was a member of Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the Ladies Aide. Lillian was an Election Judge, Census taker for Boone County, a member of the Home and Community Education serving as district president. Lillian shared her grand-daughter's passion for, rodeos, barrel races and enjoyed horse drawn wagon trips with her friends.Survivors include her sons, Bill (Kathy) Hall of Caledonia, John (Laurie) Hall of Chestertown, MD; grandchildren, Meghan, Teigen, Kata, Anna; sisters: Darlene (Russ) Freese of Clinton, WI, Anna Pearson of Sharon, WI; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends who called her "Granny Lill".Lillian is predeceased by her parents, husband, Oscar; and sister, Gladys Shull.

A memorial will be established in her memory. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Boone County homemaker (H.C.E) in Lillian's memory.
