Lester D. Stroud, 82, of Caledonia passed away Friday June 17, 2005 at Provena St. Ann Nursing Center. He was born on August 25, 1922 in Mohawk, Tennessee the son of Sam and Elizabeth (Golden) Stroud. On December 23, 1946 he married Dorothy "Lucille" Douthat in Greenville, Tennessee. He loved farming and gardening and generously shared his harvests with neighbors and friends.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, sons; Ronnie (Diana) Stroud of Mahomet, IL., Sammie Stroud of Caledonia, Terry (Linda) Stroud of Caledonia, a daughter; Tammy (Bob Livingston) Stroud of Rockford, 10 grandchildren; Nicole (Jamey) Fry, Eric and Jason Stroud, Christy, Jessica and Jamie Stroud, Brandon Stroud, Amanda, Rachel, and Alex Livingston, 1 great-grandchild; Ellie Fry, sister; Anna Poe of Belvidere. He is predeceased by parents, and 3 brothers; Jack, Harold, and Glen Stroud.
