Leslie "Les" Rhode, 90, of Belvidere IL passed away December 6, 2022 with his daughter by his side. Les was born on February 16, 1932 in Belvidere to Rose and Art Rhode. Les served in the United States Army, and was a member of the local VFW post 1461. He worked at Belvidere Products for 33 years and after retirement worked for M&R Millwork for 5 years. He enjoyed craftsmanship and wood working all his life. Les was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a man of strong faith. He never complained, never said anything bad about anyone, and loved life and the people he had in it. Les enjoyed bowling, golfing, and was an avid Cubs fan. He was a deeply dedicated father and grandfather. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Daniels; grandchildren, Dana (Matt) Lloyd and Jason (Amanda) Wahl; and great-grandchildren, Amy, Katelyn, Rachel, Addison, and Jeffrey. He is also survived by brother, Dale (Marilyn) Rhode; sister-in-law, Joanne Rhode; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members whom he loved dearly. He is predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; parents, Art and Rose Rhode; brother, Wayne Rhode; sister, Darlene Bicksler; and son-in-law, Judd Daniels.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 15 between the hours of 9:00am and 10:45am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 1045 Belvidere Rd, Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral to follow at 11:00am. Burial at Highland Garden of Memories. In the care of Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
