Leslie M. Noe, 93, of Belvidere, died peacefully on April 21, 2014. He was born June 12, 1920 in Sharon, Wisconsin. Son of Louie and Mamie (Sheiby) Noe. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and saw combat in the liberation of the Phillipines, winning the Bronze star. He also served in occupied Japan. After returning home, he married Ida Pfister on January 14, 1946 in Capron, IL. Leslie farmed most of his life in the Capron area, where he dairied and raised beef cattle and hogs. He also raised horses and ponies. He and Ida owned and operated the Circle N Saddle Shop in Roscoe for a number of years. He was a founding member of the North Boone Horse and Pony Club. He worked for several years helping at the Capron Methodist Church dinners as well as attending to the Capron Cemetery and parsonage lawn.
Leslie is loved and will be missed by his loving wife, Ida; children, David (Judith) Noe, Daniel (Jeanne) Noe, Lorna (Dale) Clark; grandchildren, Theresa (John) Stallings, Denise (Robert) Carr, Jennifer (Mark) Lungstrom, Jason (April) Noe, Leah (Joe) Racz, James (Kelly) Clark; great-grandchildren, Alexa, Cody, Mary, Robert F., Bryce, Brianna, Trenton, Tyler, Riley, Rachel, Reegan, Nora. He is preceded by his parents; brother, Kenneth, and great-granddaughter, Madison Lungstrom.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008.
