Leroy, 86, of Belvidere died June 5, 2015 at home after a short illness. Born May 1, 1929 to George and Viola Schmeling. Leroy married Janet Chapman October 1950. She predeceased him May 2004. Leroy worked for Camcar for 42 years before retiring.

Leroy is survived by children, Nancy, Roger (Diane), Judy (Frank), Peggy, six grandkids, six great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, son-in-law Kim, grandson Ryan.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL. Visitation will be held from 10a.m until the time of service. Burial will take place in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
