Belvidere, IllinoisLeonard F. Hable, 89 a Belvidere resident for the past 40 years died Sunday morning, September 30, 2007 in his home after a lingering illness. Leonard was born March 23, 1918 in Michigan City, IN the son of George and Florence (Nespo) Hable. He married Opal E. Hartsock on July 23, 1938 in Niles, MI. Mr. Hable worked at Pillsbury – Green Giant for 23 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Belvidere, IL, BPOE Elks Lodge of Niles, MI, Knights of Columbus Lodge 735 of Belvidere, IL and the Belvidere Men's Bowling Association.Mr. Hable is survived by his children, Sue (Melvin) Anderson of Gloucester, VA, Sally (Larry) VanLue of Niles, MI, Sandra (Andre) Desautels of Steger, IL and Thomas (Terri) Hable of Streamwood, IL; nine Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, Opal, his brother, Ed, his sister Barbara.
