Leona G. Hellner, 71, of Poplar Grove, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. She was born on October 20, 1942 in Elgin, IL; the daughter of Walter and Julia (George) Schubert. On March 11, 1983, Leona married Robert P. Hellner in Geneva, IL. She attended Willow Creek Church. Leona enjoyed hosting Holiday parties and the famous Donut Days in the neighborhood. She truly loved her grandchildren. She is survived by Husband, Robert, of Poplar Grove; 2 sons, Timothy (Teresa) Hopp, of Lake-in-the-Hills, IL and Bryan (Donna) Hopp, Crystal Lake, IL; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Hopp, Rebecca (fiancé, Rob Chung) Hopp; Zachary Young and Lily Hopp; a sister, Carol (Ernie) Kellenberger and brother, Walter Schubert. Leona is preceded in death by parents, infant son, Patrick Hopp and sister-in-law, Sandy Schubert.

Funeral Services 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel 218 W. Hurlbut Av. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories.
