Obituary

Lenore S. Anderson, 92, of Ajijic, Mexico, long-time resident of Belvidere, died October 5, 2005 in Ajijic. Born February 20, 1913 in Harmon, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Anna King Schwab. She attended Northern Illinois State Teachers College and the University of Illinois and was employed as a teacher and Superintendent of Public Aid in Lee County. She married Byron R. Anderson on June 7, 1945. She was a member of the Retired Teachers of Boone County, the Asa Cottrell chapter of DAR, the Magna Charta Dames, and the First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. Surviving her are her daughter Norinne (Dick) Nelson of Ajijic, two stepdaughters Barbara Gratz, Chatham, Illinois, and Esther Mae (Clint) Cator, Denver, Colorado, sister Eva Weinreich, Dixon, Illinois, brother Lloyd Schwab, Peoria, Illinois, nine step-grandchildren and numerous step great and great great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two stepdaughters, and one step-granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the Keen Age Center of Belvidere.
