Caledonia, ILLeigh Thomas "Tom" Greenlee, 77, of Caledonia, IL died unexpectedly Thursday morning, December 17, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Tom was born January 17, 1932 in Rockford the son of James R. and Ellen M. (McNair) Greenlee. He was a life long resident of Caledonia. Tom served in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He married Darlene J. Winslow on October 13, 1962 in Rockford and devoted his life to farming. Tom was a member of Willow Creek Presbyterian Church, a former board member of FS and enjoyed socializing with his friends.Tom is missed and loved by his children, Beth Greenlee of Machesney Park, Karen (Santhosh) Cheeniyil of San Jose, CA and Brian Greenlee of Aurora; grandchildren, Rohan and Rahul Cheeniyil; brother, Allen (Geralyn) Greenlee of Rockford; nephew, Glen (Brenda) Greenlee of Ann Arbor, MI and niece, Gwen (Robert) Merrill of Falls Church, VA. Tom is predeceased by his parents and wife, Darlene.The family wishes to acknowledge the tender care given by the Compassion Care staff and doctors and nurses of the Cancer Center of St. Anthony Medical Center.
