Lee A. Drews, 71, of Belvidere, IL, went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in El Paso, IL. Lee was born on March 5, 1949 to Leonard and Pearl (Key) Drews in Elkhorn, WI. He married his sweetheart, Pauline Moore, on August 14, 1971, in Des Moines, IA. Lee worked for Chrysler in Belvidere, IL since 1985 and had retired 2 months ago. He was a member of UAW and the Men's Fellowship with his church. He found his spiritual home at Belvidere First Assembly of God and was a faithful member for many years. Lee enjoyed watching movies and documentaries. But most importantly, he adored his family and friends and will be missed by many.
Lee will be dearly missed by his wife, Pauline; his children, Daniel Drews, Deborah (Courtney) Ball, Nathan (Sarah) Drews, Aaron (Jaime) Drews, Allen Drews, and Rachel (Otis R.) Trojniar; his mother, Pearl Drews; his brothers and sisters, Doug, Linda Herrmanson, Eddie, George, Cathy, Cindy (Steve) Page, Chris, and Gary; grandchildren, Ezra Ball, Isabel Ball, Ohanna Ball, Ayame Drews, Mayumi Drews, Robert Andrews, McKinzy Andrews, Maykala Andrews, Abigail Trojniar, and Otis E. Trojniar; and his honorary grandma, Marlene "Pat" Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard.
The visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Belvidere First Assembly of God, 1105 7th Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. The funeral ceremony will be at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Belvidere First Assembly of God. Rev. David Smith will be officiating. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery. In accordance with state guidelines, only 90 people will be allowed in the church during the visitation and funeral ceremony.Due to state guidelines, masks and social distancing are encouraged.
