Lawrence "Larry" B. Wirth, 79, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully April 5, 2022, in Belvidere. He was born August 2, 1942, in Belvidere, son to John and Florence (Dittbenner) Wirth. He married Dianne "Peg" Simon, February 27, 1960, in Belvidere, IL. They were members of St. John's United Church of Christ in Belvidere and the American Legion in Belvidere.

He is loved by his daughter, Lori (Bill) Perry; grandchildren, Trevor (Michelle) Perry, Colin (Tori) Perry, Andrew (Jenny) Wirth, Brian Wirth; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bo, Arya and Zane Wirth; brothers, Duane (Dianne) Wirth, Gary (Pat) Wirth, Jim Wirth; sister, Linda (Jerry) Ward and Debbie (Carol) Langan; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wirth; special niece, Renee Hanson; and special friend, Susan Gamlin.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Peg; parents, John and Florence; son, Larry Wirth Jr.; and siblings, Audrey and Russ Hanson, Sr., John Wirth, Jr., and Darlene and Tom Stewart.

A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with a memorial service at 1 p.m. Pastor Pam Rossmiller will officiate. Memorials can be made in his honor to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
