Lawrence E. "Larry" Hermann, 88, of Rockford, rejoined his beloved Pauline on Sunday, May 19, 2013 in his home. Larry was born on December 3, 1924 in Woodbine, Illinois; the son of Edward and Emma (Fahrion) Hermann. He attended Freeport Schools. Larry was married to Pauline Johnson in Rockford on February 2, 1946. Larry was employed as a crib attendant for Rockford Products for 38 years retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Marines. Larry was a former member of First Presbyterian Church; and a member of V.F.W. John Hugo Kaiser Belvidere Post #1461. He is survived by his five children, Gay (Billy) Wilks, Gloria Michael) Prince, both of Alabama, Mark (Donita "Dee") Hermann, Arkansas; Fred (Suzan) Hermann and Scott (Robin) Hermann, both of Poplar Grove, Illinois. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, a brother, Beauford (Edna Mae) Hermann, Rockford and a sister, Mabel Bawinkel of Cherry Valley and several nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Step-mother, Alice Hermann, wife, daughter, Joy May Hermann, sister, Edna Mae Hermann and brother-in-law, Lou Bawinkel.
