Lavon Anderson of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, March 14, 2025, in Belvidere. She was born August 9, 1944 in Spencer West Virginia, daughter to Bill and Thelma (Starcher) Carpenter, She married Joseph E. Anderson on June 29, 1964 in Spence. She graduated high school and worked for Green Giant as a factory worker in the bin baking department and retired in the yearly 2000's. She was a member of the Salvation Army for many years and loved to sit in the front of her home and "gab" with neighbors. Lavon also had an extensive teacup collection!  She was a very social, friendly person.

Lavon will be loved and missed by her sons, Christopher (Brenda) Anderson and Todd (Sue) Anderson; brother, Larry Carpenter; grandchildren, Brian Brokaw and Renee; two great-grandchildren, Issac and Julian; and her family and friends from West Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings.
