Lauren "Pete" Earleywine, 86, of Caledonia, Illinois, passed away on August 16th.
Pete was born on December 25, 1938, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Glen and Maddie (Davis) Earleywine. He met his wife, Arlene (Paris), on a trip to Europe. They were married in Joliet, Illinois.
Pete was an Electrical Engineer specializing in large process computer systems and processing at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. He became Director of Operations for Aircraft Landing Systems at Bendix, Allied Signal, and Honeywell. He then became Plant Manager for Rockwell Graphic Systems. He retired to Caledonia, Illinois to be close to family.
Pete was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford. He was an avid wood worker constructing furniture, decorative baskets, holiday decorations, and picture art. He was focused on helping others whenever he could. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three sons Timothy (Elizabeth) of Rockford, Illinois, Jeffrey of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Christopher of Fort Worth, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers; Judd and Glen, and a sister, Beth (McNair).
A Celebration of Pete's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
