Laurel Jean Vertin was wonderfully healed. This healing took place on Wednesday, Evening, April 27, 2005. She is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Praise God for his goodness. Rejoice in her home going along with her. Laurel was born June 28, 1956 in Belvidere, Illinois the daughter of Roger and Barbara (Gates) Linder. She married Charles Vertin on June 23, 1990 at Calvary Baptist Church in Belvidere, Illinois. Growing up, Laurel attended Boone-Leroy Grade School and North Boone High School. She graduated from Belvidere high School and attended Marantha Baptist Bible College. Laurel was a pre-school teacher at Harvest Time Christian Academy. She was a member of Forest Hills Evangelical Free Church. As a faithful servant, Laurel dedicated her life to children's ministries, Awana's, Bible school and various church ministries.Survivors include his husband, Charles, of Loves Park, IL; daughter, Emily Kerstin Vertin at home; mother, Barbara Linder of Belvidere; sister, Sandy Buck of Wayne Arkansas; brothers, Dennis and Rodney Linder both of Belvidere and many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Laurel is predeceased by her father, Roger Linder.
