Laurel Ann Dittbenner, 68, of Belvidere, IL. passed away June 24, 2023. She was born on December 10, 1954 to Esther (Maitland) and Richard Stedman. Laurel was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother. She served her community for many years in the healthcare industry. She started her education in nursing at OSF St. Anthony. She worked at St. Anthony's in the burn unit, Swedish American Hospital in the ICU, as well as Highland Hospital in Belvidere for many years. Laurel started numerous programs at local nursing homes in establishing proper patient care. She was deeply dedicated to the service of her patients.

Laurel loved to spend her time scrapbooking, and going out antiquing. She adored her pet cats, and quality time with her grandchildren. She would often sit on her son's front porch and watch her grandchildren go fishing in the pond.

She will be remembered for her dedication to the service of her patients, her devotion to her family, and kind heart. She will be missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son; Daniel Dittbenner, daughter in law; Rachel Dittbenner  grandchildren; Tanner, Madison, Danielle, and Colton, sisters; Cheryl Reynolds, Marcia Barefield, and Meredith Smith, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She is welcomed into heaven by her infant son; Phillip Dittbenner, and her parents, Esther and Richard Stedman.

Services are private to family at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded.
