Larry E. Wilcox, 76, of Capron, IL passed away peacefully,
Sunday evening, December 8, 2019 in Swedish American Hospital surrounded by his
loving family, after a short illness.
Larry was born December 18, 1942 at Ft. Bragg, N.C., the son of William
E. and Gertrude (Sheffield) Wilcox. He
married his loving wife, Rita I. (Brown) Wilcox in Harvard, IL on May 7,
1983. Larry worked in many fascinating
capacities over the years. His career in
mechanical engineering evolved from a position as a draftsman. He worked for many companies including
Motorola, Chrysler, Boeing; even becoming a freelance mechanical engineer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; loved his dog,
classic cars, and was a master of un-completed projects. Larry could build a shelter for any critter
needing care, and enjoyed taking care of his herd of cats on the farm. While he did not attend a particular church,
Larry did have a solid trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Larry is loved and will be missed by his children, Daniel R.
(Sharrie) Wilcox, of Belvidere, Loren E. (Amy) Wilcox of Garden Prairie, Brandy
E. Wilcox of Madison; chosen daughter, Sandra Tietze of Germany; grandchildren,
Molly, Madeline, Adam, and Chris; siblings, Bill Wilcox, Linda (John) Peredna,
Carol (Dick) Gustafson, Patricia St. Clair, Pamela (Craig) Keeney, Dave
Wilcox. Larry is preceded in death by
his parents and his wife, Rita.

The visitation for Larry will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30
p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218
W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. The
funeral service for Larry will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at
the funeral home. Private family burial
will take place.
