Larry LeRoy Lester, 83, of Capron, IL, passed away December 28, 2022, surrounded by family. Larry was born January 19th, 1939, in Harvard IL, son of Willard and Dorothy (Pennington) Lester. In 1957, Larry graduated from Harvard High School. He then joined the Air Force from 1958-1964. He went to work at Admiral. In 1978 he married Geri M. George, at Methodist Church, in Harvard IL. In 2006 he retired from Ipsen. He loved dancing, family gatherings, going to car shows and casinos.

He will be missed by his children, Jenea (Daniel) Lester Dulgar, Lorri (John) O'Donnell, Teresa (Edward) Mathison, Stacey (Candy) Gehrke McAndrews, and Goldie (Matt) Barlow. He had 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great- Grandchildren. He will be missed by his sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Lester) McFarlin, David Lester, Danny (Brenda) Lester, Linda (Stacey) Marty Lewis, Rick (Jeannie) Lester, and Travis Lawrence.

Larry is predeceased in death by his wife, Geri M. Lester; parents, Willard and Dorothy; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Morrison, Rachel Rae Rogers and Gordy O'Dell; and nephew, Seth Clayton Bennett.

A visitation will be at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. service, Wednesday, January 4, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.
