Larry Colver, 74, passed away peacefully  December 22, 2015, in his home in rural Capron, IL.  Born April 27, 1941, to Charles and Neva (Wesson) Colver, Larry lived his entire life on the family's Centennial Farm. He attended North Boone High School and Northern Illinois University and farmed all his life.  He also worked as a rural mail carrier at Capron for several years.  Married Emalee (Becker) Hegge on August 29, 1975 at Harvard, IL, and celebrated their 40th anniversary with family and friends at their farm this August.  Larry was active in Flora Grange, Boone County Pomona Grange, Illinois State Grange and attended many National Grange conventions.  He was a dedicated member of the Boone County Fair Board where he served as treasurer for 20 years.  He served as Boone Township Trustee, member of Boone County Farm Bureau and Farmland Protection Project and past member of Boone County FS board.  Larry is loved and will be missed by his wife, Emalee; son Todd Hegge; daughter Trea Pearson; grandchildren Allison (Tyler) Yaeger, Andrew Pond, David Hegge and Kara Hegge; brother Stanley (Norma) Colver; niece, nephews, and many special friends and relatives.  Predeceased by his parents; son-in-law Andy Pearson and great nephew Adam Johnson.  The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 28, 2015, at Anderson Funeral Home, Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Muriel Morley Jahn officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Grange and Fair service at 5:00 pm.  Interment at Lawrenceville Cemetery, Garden Prairie, IL.  Memorials to Boone County Fair Assn. and others to be established by the family.
