Lane G. Sanders, 85, of Belvidere, IL died Monday morning, December 3, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness. Lane was born November 19, 1922 in Lake Toxaway, N.C. the son of Savannah and Ola (Norton) Sanders. Lane was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Pacific Theater during W.W. II. He married Allene Bradley on February 21, 1946 in Ashville, N.C. Lane worked 30 years for the Chrysler Corporation in the paint department. He was a member of the John Hugo Kaiser V.F.W. Post 1461.Survivors include his wife Allene of Belvidere; son Terry of Belvidere; grandchildren, Ruby and Ashley of Machesney Park and Pricilla of California.; brother, Cecil Sanders of Lake Toxaway, N.C. Lane is preceded in death by his son Bobby.

A memorial will be established in care of his family.
