Klaus Hofmann, 69, of Belvidere, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Swedish-American Medical Center, Belvidere, IL. Born February 18, 1944 in Germany; the son of Erich and Gertrude (Wettengel) Hofmann. Klaus married Carol Ann Haggstrom on February 2, 1985. He was a field machinist for Continental Field Machining and later, Orbital Tool. He retired in 2012. Klaus enjoyed golfing, I.T. and his family. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Brian (Dana) and Eric (Lindsey) Hofmann; two grandchildren, Allison and Caylee Hofmann and another on the way; a sister, Ingrid Gruhnke; a nephew, Uli Gruhnke and niece, Sabina Feller. Preceded in death by parents.
