Obituary

Kingsley L. Enos, 72, of Poplar Grove, Illinois, died peacefully December 22, 2018 in Rockford, Illinois. He was born November 29, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony J and Janet (Kriese) Enos. Kingsley attended Chicago schools on the South side. In his late teens he raced " Shake, Rattle and Run" in a 57 Chevy  in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin circuit before serving his country proudly in the Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War.

After service, he took pictures of bridges and tressels for the railroad across the country and Canada. Kingsley married Cynthia Robinson on September 20, 1975 in the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, Illinois. He worked as a machinist for Greenlee Textron in Genoa, Illinois for 30 years. King enjoyed the outdoors, animals, especially wolves and humming birds. He loved fishing and was an outstanding wood worker who could make anything he set his mind to. He really enjoyed wearing T shirts with different sayings to make someone smile.

Kingsley is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cynthia Enos; son, Anthony B. Enos; grandson, Austin Enos; sister, Julie "Kit"(Dale) Dieterman; brother, Keith (Connie) Robinson; nieces, Jenelle (Clay) Butt, Kayla Dieterman, Jessika Robinson, and Amanda (Brent) Grable; father in-law, Harold McLarty and his "baby," a malamute dog named Nikki; 1 great-niece; and 3 great-nephews.

Kingsley is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alan J. Enos; and mother in-law, Beulah McLarty.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 29, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Illinois. A visitation will be prior to the service, from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Carroll will officiate. Wear Jeans and a T- shirt with your favorite saying or Hawaiian shirt.
