Kenneth L. Smith was born on February 1, 1938 to Jesse Smith & Evelyn (Blazer) Smith in Capron, IL. Kenneth went home to be with the Lord July 4, 2024. Kenneth graduated from North Boone High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Carol E. Haffenden on March 4, 1972. Kenneth served in the United States Army for 2 years and worked at Belvidere Chrysler for 32 years. He enjoyed harness racing, woodworking, being a car mechanic and a handyman. Kenneth has two children - daughter, Cynthia Kasper and son, Gary (Shari) Kasper. Three grandchildren, Aidan McCoy, Jacob (Brooke) Kasper, Joshua (Jessica) Kasper; and great grandchildren, Hayden Kasper, Autum Kasper, Kace Kasper, and Isla Kasper. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse Jr., Raymond, Bill, and Bob; sisters, Donna and Judy & son, Gary Kasper.

There will be a private graveside service.
