Kenneth E. Harris, 87, of Belvidere, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on January 19, 1926 in Franklin County, Illinois; the son of Henry and Grace (Issiacs) Harris. Ken married Glorene Summers in Benton, Illinois on October 19, 1947. He was employed as a manager of the Boone County Farm Bureau for 32 years, retiring in 1987. Ken was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army. He held membership with the Belvidere Lions Club and Boone County Farm Bureau. Ken is survived by his wife, Glorene; children, Virginia (Sam) Gueyan; Eric (Elizabeth) Harris; grandchildren, Teresa Wennmacher, Trevor Towns and Nathan Thrun; several great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Melinda Harris; 6 brothers and a sister.
