Kenneth Eugene Brenz, 70, of Belvidere, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 in his home after a long illness. Born Sept. 11, 1940 in Belvidere, son of Eldred and Harriett (Thornton) Brenz. Faithfully served our country in the US Army. Married Patricia Crocker on March 10, 1962 in Belvidere. Worked for Belvedere Company for 45 years as an upholsterer, cabinet maker and inspector. Former member of the Belvidere Moose and VFW. Avid fisherman, woodworker and enjoyed reading.Survivors include his loving wife Patricia, daughter Terri Ferriter of Loves Park, sons Gary (Patricia) of Rockford and Kevin (Sara) of Loves Park, grandchildren Cassandra, Andrew, Shannon, Brady, Carmen, and Aubrey, great-granddaughter Arianna, sisters Barbara (Gordon) Sjodin, Betty Itchue, and Judy Meyer all of Belvidere, and Sandra (Dan) Thomas of Michigan, sisters-in-law Jennalee Brenz and Sharon Dittbenner both of Belvidere, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Bud and Harry and infant brother David.
