Kenneth Paul Barnes,
Sr., 79, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully December 8, 2019 , in Rockford, IL.
He was born on March 13, 1941 in Wynn,
Arkansas to Truman Dewey and Pearlie Ann (Gray) Barnes. He married his
sweetheart, Ruth Kelso, May 19, 1963 in Forrest City, Arkansas. Kenneth worked
at Chrysler in Belvidere for thirty years and was a member of the UAW at
Chrysler. He loved to garden and was a wonderful handy man for his family and
friends. He could fix anything including lawn mowers.

Kenneth is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of
many years, Ruth; son, Dewey (Kim) Barnes and Edward (Laurie) Barnes; grand-son,
Randy Barnes ; grand-daughter, Catherine Rose Barnes; grand-sons, Jeff Uhlir, Talbert
Uhlir, Christopher Uhlir; grand-daughter, Jacqulyn Uhlir; several
great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Barnes, of Forrest City, Arkansas and
Martha Jane Waggoner, of Niles, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son Kenneth
Paul (Linda) Barnes, Jr.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, December 13,
2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Ave.,
Belvidere, IL 61008. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
