Belvidere, ILKenneth John AndersonLoving Husband, Extra Special Dad, Grandpa and "Paka"Kenneth John Anderson, 67, of Belvidere, IL died Friday morning, September 18, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness. Kenneth was born October 3, 1941 in Highland Hospital, Belvidere, IL the son of Floyd and Florence (Honecker) Anderson. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra K. Fritz on June 10, 1962 in First United Methodist Church, Belvidere. Kenneth attended Belvidere High School with the class of 1959 and completed his GED while serving in the US Navy from 1958-1962. Kenneth was a 2nd class Petty Officer upon discharge and became a machinist/tool and die maker. He served aboard the USS Sierra AD18, Norfolk, Va. Employed by Eclipse Fuel, Rockford Machine Tool, Dial Machine, Circle boring, retired from Younberg Industries in 2001, retired Boone County Volunteer Fireman, District #2. Kenneth enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, bowling with his grandsons and working in his yard. He met both life goals of finding his father and traveling to Sweden to see his ancestral farmland. The light of his life was his family. Kenneth attended Caledonia Congregational Church. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandy.; daughters, Andrea (Dan) Cox of Poplar Grove, Amy Kennet Anderson McCormick (Josh Moulden) of So. Beloit; grandsons Jacob and Adam Cox, Conor, Owen, Kellen John, Brennan McCormick; brothers, Burdette (Shirley) Anderson, Charles (Sara) Schlie; sisters, Eleanor Warner, Carol (Ray) Williams, Leah Pitner, Shirley Klapprodt; Brothers in-law, Robert C. Fritz of Florida and Edward J. (Erin) Fritz of California; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.Kenneth is predeceased by his parents, grandparents; brother, Harold Anderson; sister, Sherry Breese; nephew, Johnny Breese; Mother and Father In-law, Manila and Robert Fritz.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Kenneth's name for a young golfer's program.
