Kathlyn I. Larson, 93, of Belvidere, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 17, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was born July 28, 1918 in Elvaston, Illinois; the daughter of Samuel and Ada (Thompson) Reagin. Kathlyn graduated from Carthage Illinois High School. She was married to Gordon Larson at the Boone County Courthouse on March 15, 1936. She was a farmer's wife in addition to working for Light Electric, Dean's Foods, Morgan and Belvedere Products. Kathlyn was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford. She was a member of the Boone County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, growing flowers and yard work. Kathlyn is survived by her son, John (Margaret Schultz) Larson, Belvidere; three granddaughters, Deborah (Bruce) Moore, Poplar Grove, Illinois; Shari (Gary) Kasper, Garden Prairie, Illinois; and Lisa (Allan) Ekberg, Poplar Grove, Illinois: nine great grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Stone; Amy (Matthew) Manes; Emily Moore; Nathan Moore; Jacob and Joshua Kasper; Aaron, Andrew and Ashlea Ekberg; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Edna Dean; sister-in-law, Garnet Johnson; and son-in-law, Alan Steurer. Preceded in death by, parents, husband, daughter, Sharron Steurer; daughter-in-law, Ginger Larson; a brother and three sisters. Special thank you to Claudine and the staff of Passages Hospice.
