Kathleen M. Phillips, 52, of Belvidere, IL died Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2007 in the University Hospital-Madison, Wisconsin after a short illness. Kathleen was born August 28, 1955 in Arlington, Iowa the daughter of Howard and Shirley (Donahoe) Wolfe. Kathy was a proud member of the UAW Local 1268. She graduated from Belvidere High School in 1973 and was hired by Chrysler in 1978. She was raised in a strong union oriented family. Her father got involved in the union and she followed in his footsteps. She was so passionate about the union. She was the first woman Vice President in local 1268. She enjoyed camping, her dogs and animals. She always said that she was a "jeans and shirt gal", so please dress in her fashion. She will be greatly missed by many.Survivors include her husband, Mitchell Phillips; daughter, Stacy Baird; mother, Shirley Wolfe; siblings, Karen Richardson, Jim (Judy) Wolfe, Nancy (Tom) Love, Sue (Craig) Drecktrah; nieces and nephews, Jodi Love, Matt (Amber)Wolfe, Emily (Nate) Dolezol, Brad (Michelle) Love, Joe Anderson, Jay Anderson. She is predeceased by her father, Howard Wolfe and brother in-law Forest Richardson.
