Kathleen L. Buerer, 57 of Roscoe, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a short illness. She was born to George and Lillian (Awe) Buerer, on May 30, 1956 in Chicago, IL. Kathleen was an Environmental Lawyer and an Author with two books published. She enjoyed traveling, biking, hiking, genealogy and experiencing other cultures. Kathleen graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1974; received her Bachelor Degree at Southern Illinois University and received her Law Degree in D.C. at a private school. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Lillian Miller; 2 sisters, Karen Miller and Beth (Craig) Conkling; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Miller.
