Karin A. S. Hallen, 101, of Davenport, Fla., passed away peacefully, January 13, 2021, at the Florida home of her daughter, Janet. She was born January 29, 1919, daughter of Albin and Gerda (Karlberg) Persson in Spring Township, Boone County. She married Walter Hallen, August 10, 1945, at Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Karin graduated from Belvidere High School and worked for Garden Prairie Seed Corn Company. She was a homemaker and later became a bookkeeper/business owner with her late husband, Walter. She was a member of the Belvidere's Women's Club for many years and a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church where she held many positions in the church and Sunday School. Karin enjoyed spending many winters in Florida and summer weekends at the cottage at Lake Delavan, WI where family and friends were always welcome.

She was loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Janet (Michael) Truitt; step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Vince) Zalapi and Daniel (Lydia) Truitt; step great-grandchildren, Braden, Blake, and Ben Zalapi and Nora and Ella Truitt; brother in-law, Don (Sue) Hallen; and God daughter, Margaret, Buss.

Karin is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and several cousins.
