Karen Lynne McCoy, 69. Of Belvidere, IL passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Presence Saint Anne Center in Rockford. Karen was born January 8, 1946 in Belvidere, IL, daughter of Everett and Grace (Eddington) Tomamichael. She married Gary McCoy on July 14, 1999 in Belvidere, IL. For thirty plus years Karen worked for Chrysler where she retired. Karen was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere, IL. She was an active member serving in many capacities. Karen was active in Bible studies at First Baptist Church, active with VMTC, and Girl Scout Troop #174. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, dining out with friends and family, quiet times at home, working on the house, and dancing.

Karen is loved and will be missed by her husband, Gary; children Shawn (Heather Gallagher) Van Cura, Mindi Van Cura (Lance) Wilkinson; step children, Heather Anderson, Brandi (Bill) Van Leeuwen, Amanda McCoy; Grandchildren, Lydia and Lexi Van Leeuwen. She is preceded in death by her parents and half-brother Gerald Griffin

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dr. Bob Kopp, of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
