Karen J. Hatfield, 76, of Belvidere, IL passed away Sunday afternoon, May 9, 2021 after a short illness surrounded by her family.  Karen was born August 18, 1944 in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Hamill) Morehead.  She married Charles H. "Charlie" Hatfield, Jr. on April 27, 1963 in Belvidere.  Karen had several loves in her life; she loved her husband, Charlie, she loved her kids and grandkids, and she loved spending summers on the lake and snow birding on Anna Maria Island in Florida.  She was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears and she enjoyed the Kentucky Derby, and NASCAR.  Karen was also an exceptionally talented cook and seamstress.

Karen is loved and will be missed dearly by her husband, Charlie; children, Shane (Kimberly) Hatfield, Stacey (A.J.) Halverson, and Kimberly Franta; grandchildren, Brooke, and Hayden Hatfield; Collin, and Mara Halverson; Quentin, Gage, and Elle Franta. Karen is preceded in death by her parents.

The walk-through visitation will be held from Noon until 2:00 p.m., Friday May 14, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Facemask and Social Distancing will be observed. Karen's funeral service will be private for her family and close friends and can be viewed via livestream at 2:30 p.m., Friday May 14, 2021.
