Belvidere, IL Karen L. Harbolt, 71, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Tuesday March 26, 2013 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer. Karen was born May 17, 1941 in Belvidere, the daughter of Raymond J. and Helen B. (Ollmann) Schwebke. She married David W. Harbolt on June 23, 1962 in Kirkland, IL. Karen was a secretary for Automatic Electric in Genoa, IL for 26 years and also for Harris Silver and Sons of Belvidere. Karen loved her dogs, traveling to the central woods of Wisconsin, where she and David enjoyed collecting antiques; and she will always be remembered for her generosity to others. Karen was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was the recording secretary for the church council for many years, and was also a volunteer with Helping Hands of Immanuel.Karen is loved and will be missed by her husband David; brother Dale (Phyllis) Schwebke of Belvidere; aunt Mildred Priem of Belvidere and uncle Roy Schwebke of Juda, WI; brothers in-laws Gordon (Gayla) Harbolt of Florida, Robert (Jenny) Harbolt of Rockford, Michael Harbolt of Los Angeles; mother in-law Mary Harbolt, Oxford, IN; nephews Chris and Chad Harbolt.; special friends Charlene Hill and Pat Calvesio.
