Belvidere, IllinoisJulia Darlene McCoy, 76, of Belvidere died Saturday evening, February 21, 2009 in her home. Darlene was born February 8, 1933 in McGregor, Iowa the daughter of Wilbur LeRoy and Julia Marie (Scrogam) Heaton. She married Mr. Wiltsie E. McCoy on August 17, 1974 in Rockton, IL. Darlene worked 17 years for Parson Casket Hardware and was a nurse's aid for St. Joseph Hospital. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking for her family, reading angel books and taking care of her yorkie, "Murphy".Darlene is survived by her children, Mark (Nancy) Pollock and Julie (Edward) McCoy both of Garden Prairie; step-sons, Edward (Julie) McCoy, Dennis McCoy of Belvidere and Monte McCoy of Illinois; grandchildren, Nicole (Matt) Rossignol, Robert (Windy) McCoy, Anne McCoy, Andrew Pollock, Samantha Pollock, Matthew McCoy, Michael McCoy; five great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Thomas Heaton of Belvidere; sister, Wanda Brandt of Minnesota; special care giver and niece, Peggy Benson of Washington. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, son Gregory Pollock, husband Wiltsie; brothers Kenneth, Robert and William; grandson Sean McCoy.

Memorials can be given in care of St. James Catholic Church in her memory.
