Judith M. Hilden Ortmeier, 76, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully, Saturday April 8, 2017 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford. She was born May 16, 1940 in Belvidere, IL, daughter of James and Mildred (Schwebke) Berryhill. Judy married the love of her life, Lowell Hilden in 1956, he preceded her in death. She worked as a home health caregiver for 10 years. Judy enjoyed reading, word searches, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and riding horses in her younger years.

Judy is loved and missed by her mother, Mildred Priem; children, Wendy (Greg) Ballard, Brian (Tammy) Hilden, Cyndie (Mikey Gilland) Landers-Gilland, Steve (Lori) Hilden, and Joe (Marzee) Bohlman; grandchildren, Josh (Erika) Hilden, Andi (Dan) Simonetti, Danny Ballard, Mitchell (Kelly) Hilden, Holly Hilden, Willie (Lori) Swatzell II, DJ (Eva) Swatzell, Amie (Jose Garcia Diaz) Swatzell, Stephanie (Sean) Rizzio, Brittany Bohlman, Emily (Sam) Estes, Joey Bohlman, Nik Bohlman, and Josh Bohlman; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally (Robert) Geiger, Sara (Royal) Trudo, and Marcia (David) Scott; step-children, Wayne Lee, Maria, and William; several step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, husband Lowell, and grandson Jacob Swatzell.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Shattuck Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
