Juana Elena Cabrera passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on October 22, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1936, in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.
Juana was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and nana who treasured her family more than anything. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she shared with them was a reflection of her caring heart and the life she built around those closest to her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the lasting place she holds in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Juana is survived by her beloved children, Amanda, Carlos (Olga), Angel (Lito); her cherished grandchildren, Natalia Boldock (Chad), Adan Vasquez (Marysol), Kamila Cabrera, Samantha Cabrera, Carlos Cabrera; and her great grandchildren, Emma, Cooper Boldack, Adan, Azucena, and Aurora Vasquez. She will be deeply missed by her family, who will continue to carry her love, faith, and memory with them always.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 218 West Hurlbut Avenue in Belvidere, Illinois. A Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. Following Mass, a burial will take place at Belvidere Cemetery.
May Juana rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of God and reunited with the promise of everlasting life.
