Juan Martinez, 47, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, May 13, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Juan was born March 7, 1968 in Mexico City, Mexico, son of Isidro and Socorro (Ojeda) Martinez. He graduated from high school, and married Leticia Alvarez in Mexico City, Mexico. Juan was the owner of De Juan's restaurant in Belvidere, IL. He was a member of Saint James Catholic Church. Juan enjoyed traveling, playing sports, building things, and joking around. His biggest accomplishment was his family and always staying happy.

Juan is loved and will be missed by his wife, Leticia Alvarez; children, Hector (Jessica Mendoza) Alvarez, Tania Martinez; grandchildren, Ariyana and Hector Alvarez, Jr; sisters, Carolina and Irma Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Lt. Tomas Valladares officiating.
