Joyce Manning Wolf, 67, of Belvidere, IL, passed away, May 7, 2024. She was born on July 4, 1956 in Rochelle, IL. The daughter of Mary Alice (Greenfield) and John Gilbert Manning. Joyce was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She graduated from Rochelle Township High School, class of 1974. Joyce went on to continue her education at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in social work in 1978. On August 26, 1978 she married the love of her life, Michael "Mike" Wolf. Together they shared 3 children and 42 years of marriage. Joyce worked for over 35 years as a social worker serving the community at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. Her loving nature and generous heart helped her advocate for the needs of the residents there.

Joyce loved spending time on the boat and at the beach. She enjoyed nature walks with her pet dog, Max, and lunch dates with her friends and family. Above all, she treasured the quality time with her family. Joyce and Mike would take their family on vacations to Anna Maria Island in Florida in the spring and Minocqua, Wisconsin in the summers. She will be remembered for her strong faith, dedication to her family and the community, and generous heart.

She is loved and will be missed by her children, Mitchell J. Wolf of Belvidere, Matthew J. (Jody) Wolf of Rockford, Mary A. Wolf of Chicago; mother, Mary Alice Manning of Belvidere;  grandson, Brayden Petrie; siblings, John (Martha) Manning and Susan (Gene) Mead, she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

Joyce is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Mike Wolf, and father John G. Manning.

The visitation will take place on Monday, May 13, 2024, between the hours of 10am-12pm. At Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral service to follow at 12pm. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in establishing a memorial at a later date.
