Joyce A. Burton Kraemer, 59, of Belvidere died Tuesday evening, July 17, 2007 in Loyola Medical Center, Chicago, IL after a lengthy illness. Joyce was born July 22, 1947 in Belvidere the daughter of Roy N. and Vera (Boardman) Burton. She graduated from Belvidere High School with the class of 1965, Rock Valley College in 1967 and St. Anthony School of Nursing in 1972. She married John M. Kraemer on June 6, 1987; he predeceased her on October 21, 2002. Joyce worked on the surgical floor for St. Anthony Medical Center from 1973 until 1998 when she went to work for Dr. Lowery. Joyce was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and the Society of Urological Nurses and Associates. She was a dedicated and caring nurse, a loyal friend, and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.Survivors include John's children, Lawrence (Margaret) of Bloomington, Bernard (Barbara) of Belvidere, Ruth Ann (Jerry) Burnside-Gray of Wisconsin, Ann Hamilton of Rockford, Jeanette (Walt) Johnson of Rockford, Jan (Ray) Aumann of Rockford; and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce preferred mass offerings to St. James Catholic Church.
