Joyce M. Helgerson, 83, of Belvidere, IL passed away Monday,
January 28, 2019 at Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere, IL. She was born May
31, 1935 in Crawford County, WI to Selbert and Sarah Olive (Sheffield)
Aspenson. Joyce married the love of her life Arthur O. Helgerson on December
28, 1951 at Utica Lutheran Church in rural Crawford County, WI. Joyce enjoyed
her time with the Pink Ladies volunteering at St. Joseph Hospital as well as
spending time fishing. She made her spiritual home at Immanuel Lutheran Church
in Belvidere, IL where she served with the Ladies Guild. Most importantly, Joyce
enjoyed spending time with family.

Joyce is loved and missed by her children, Dan (Tracy)
Helgerson, Robert (Melissa) Helgerson, Alan (Frances) Helgerson; grandchildren,
Terra Henry, Lindsey (Jim) Ducey, Alexandra Dalton, Nate (Rachel) Helgerson,
Mandy (Brock) Behnke, Tyler Helgerson, Ryan Helgerson and 7 great-grandchildren;
siblings, Lois Mikelson, Eldon (Rae Dawn) Aspenson; sisters-in-laws, Marion Ahnen,
Rosemary Aspenson, Roseanne Aspenson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; brothers, Orland Aspenson and
Ronald Aspenson.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at
11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd, Belvidere, IL 61008
with Rev. Roger Pollock officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00
a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. In
