Joyce Elizabeth Brown, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away on May 12 ^th , 2023 at Northwoods Care Center. She was born November 27 ^th , 1935 in Capron, IL to parents, Albert and Dorothy (Blaess) Swanson. Joyce worked at Falls Products in Genoa, IL for years. She volunteered at the Keen Age Center, sang in the silver bells choir, had a mean sweet tooth, loved costume jewelry, enjoyed watching I Love Lucy, Golden Girls and listened to Elvis on repeat!

Joyce is loved and will be missed by her sons, James L. Brown and Kurt Leon Brown; brothers, Charlie Swanson and Bernie Swanson; cousin, Leroy Anderson; grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Joshua, Brielle, Autumn (Cody), Jason, Amy, Jessica; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gilbert Swanson and Bruce Swanson; and sister, Laura Maracle.
