Joseph White, Jr, 76, of Garden Prairie, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Swedish American Hospital, Belvidere. Born October 22, 1935 in Addison Township, son of Joseph White, Sr. and Edna (Schmidt) Patton, step-son of Edward Patton. Married Mary Louise Overstreet on August 17, 1957 in St. Charles, she died July 26, 2011. Served in the US Airforce from 1952 to 1956. Worked for 41 years as a Teamster Union shipping clerk for Bernie Brother's Bakery that was renamed Entenmann's Bakery. Loved baseball and for 17 years played for and managed the Bensonville Aces that became the DuPage Hawks, and retired from the Wheaton Cardinals. Owned a painting business in Chicago, enjoyed hunting with his wife and sons, owned a farm for 40 years, and enjoyed singing karaoke. Survivors include his daughter Mary Jo (Steve Thurow) White of Garden Prairie, sons Joseph L. (Kiyomi) of Okinawa, Edward M. of Denver, CO, Robert N. (Debbie) of Winnebago, Michael O. (Julie) of Belvidere, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and sister Lois Hanks. Predeceased by his parents, wife Mary Louise, grandson Mike, brothers Clarence, Johnny, and Frankie White.
