Joseph A. Nelson, 48, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL after a long illness.  Joseph was born June 9, 1966 the son of Joseph H.E. and W. Faye (Case) Nelson, in Rockford, IL.  Joseph enjoyed working with computers, collecting vintage toys; and was an avid genealogist, tracing his family roots back to the 1600's.  Joseph will be remember by his family as a loving son, brother and cousin; always thinking of others

Joseph is loved and will be missed by his mother, Faye Nelson of Belvidere; sisters, Pamela Nelson of Belvidere, Peggy Nelson of Poplar Grove; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special cousin, Melissa (Timothy) Powers of Rockford.  Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Joseph H.E. Nelson; grandparents and cousin, Scott.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, October 27, 2014 at Highland Garden of Memories, Belvidere, IL with his cousin, Melissa Powers, officiating.  Memorials can be given in care of his family.
