Jose
E. Martinez, 84, passed away July 8, 2019 at Rockford, Illinois. He was born
August 27, 1935 in Medellin, Colombia, son of Jose M. and Irene (Lotero)
Martinez.

Jose
retired from Chrysler in Belvidere after 38 years of loyalty. Jose worked as a
dance instructor for some time. Dancing was a hobby of his and loved to listen
to music. He would also do work as a wedding photographer and videographer on
the side.

Jose is survived by his nephews, Luis Jimenez, William Presley, Oskar Jimenez; and his cousin, Luz Jurado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Irene Martinez; and siblings, Rosa, Edilma, Dolly, Dario, and Mario Martinez.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. Estella Hernandez to officiate.
